Who we are
Pulse Pair ("we") is operated by Nutshell Films Pty Ltd, Australia. Contact: support@pulsepair.app.
What we collect
- Account details: your first name and email address.
- Profile: sex, age, goals, step and sleep targets, avatar choice.
- Health data you allow us to read from Apple Health (HealthKit), Health Connect or Google Health (your Google account, e.g. Fitbit or Pixel Watch data): heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep, steps, distance, active energy, exercise time, blood oxygen, cardio fitness and, only if you track your cycle, body temperature and menstrual data.
- Things you log: period dates, symptoms, mood, notes and intimacy entries.
How we use it
Only to provide the app's features: calculating your sleep, recovery and strain scores, cycle predictions, reminders and, if you choose, sharing selected categories with your partner or friends. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or marketing, or use it to build advertising profiles. Health data obtained through HealthKit, Health Connect or Google Health is never shared with third parties for those purposes.
Google Health (Fitbit, Pixel Watch)
If you connect Google Health, Pulse Pair asks Google for read-only access to your sleep, health metrics (heart rate variability, resting heart rate, breathing rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, VO₂ max, weight) and activity (heart rate, steps, distance, floors, active minutes and energy). We use this data only to calculate your scores and show your trends in the app, and to share the categories you choose with people you connect with. Google's access token is stored encrypted on our server so the app can fetch new data; the health data itself is passed straight to your phone and is not kept on our server, except the categories you choose to share. We never write to or change your Google data.
Pulse Pair's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the Google Health API Developer and User Data Policy. We do not use Google data for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to train AI models, and humans do not read it except with your consent, for security, or where the law requires. You can disconnect in Profile → Google Health (which also revokes our access), or at any time in your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps.
Sharing with your partner
Nothing is shared until you turn it on. You choose each category (sleep, recovery, activity, period countdown, fertile window) and can turn any of them off at any time. Symptoms, notes and intimacy entries are never shared.
“Ask your AI”
This feature creates a text summary of data you select and copies it to your clipboard. The app does not send it anywhere. If you paste it into an AI service, that service's privacy policy applies. Your name, notes and intimacy entries are never included.
Where your data is stored
Data that syncs to your account is encrypted in transit and at rest on servers operated by Supabase in Sydney, Australia (region ap-southeast-2). Health data is not stored in iCloud. Intimacy entries remain on your device only.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in Profile → Delete account and all data, or by emailing us. Deletion from our servers completes within 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, download (Profile → Download my data), correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, or Washington State under the My Health My Data Act) you may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.
Children
Pulse Pair is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards. If a breach affects your health data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Not medical advice
Pulse Pair is a general wellness app, not a medical device. Cycle predictions are estimates and must not be used as contraception.
Changes
We'll notify you in the app before material changes take effect.
